Formosa Lions & Lionesses Park Rental Fees

We generally find that park rental requirements fall into one of the following three categories but if you have special or other requirements please contact us. For larger events the Formosa Lions can provide other services not specified here. In all cases please make sure that you understand the Liquor licence (Special Occasion Permit) and Socan requirements (if applicable) which can be found in the General Information and the Conditions Of Contract.

• I want to use the park and the pavilion for an event which may require one or more camper trailers or tents overnight.

In this case (full park booking) the rental fee is $185 per day. The deposit to reserve your date(s) is $65. The full park booking includes use of the pavilion, kitchen and bar (whether you serve alcohol or not) and free overnight camping for each day booked. Camp sites are available as needed and may be managed by yourself for people associated with your event. We will not offer camp sites to other individual campers when this type of event is booked. We can take camp site bookings for people associated with your event if required. Your deposit is not refundable if you cancel your event. A full booking contract must be completed and returned.
If you require camping for additional nights then the fee is $30 per camp site per night with services for trailers (water and hydro) or $15 for tents or if you do not use services. Depending on the number of camp sites you need it may make sense to simply make a full park booking for that day/night.

• I just want to use the park for overnight camping, perhaps because I am attending an event in the area (or in the park on the previous or following day) or I just want to camp there.
  

If there is no full park booking on the requested date then the rental fee is $30 per camp site per night with services for trailers (water and hydro) or $15 for tents or if you do not use services. Depending on the number of camp sites you need it may make sense to simply make a full park booking for that day/night.

If camping is for an event then the event organizer can contact us first to book the camping date and the camp sites as necessary. We will also be happy take individual bookings for one or more campers.
Camping fees are payable in advance by cheque or cash and are not refundable if you cancel. We don’t advise sending cash by postal mail. Payment on the day may be acceptable in some circumstances but please contact us in advance.

You may have alcohol in your camp site as you would in your own home. Personal alcohol must not be carried out of camp sites and must not be carried into the pavilion, even if the pavilion is covered by an LCBO licence.

• I just want to use the pavilion and the kitchens during the day for a family occasion or personal or business occasion. I will not be staying later than 11PM and no-one is staying overnight. There will be NO alcohol at this event.
  

If there is no full park booking on the requested date then the rental fee is $15 per hour for this type of event. Usually there will be no campers present in the park (particularly during the week) but we cannot guarantee this.

The hourly rate does not apply to events where alcohol will be present or when catering services or food vendors will be present. For those events a full booking contract is required and the fee is $185 per day.

Unless you are part of an organized full park booking event you should contact us in advance of arriving at the park for camping and/or use of any rentable facilities.

If you have booked rentable facilities please contact us a few days before your event to make arrangements to pick up the keys.

If you are an individual or a group of less than 10 people and you do not require use of rentable facilities and you are not camping then you may use the pavilion any time it is not booked by someone else.
